Memset Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Oleksandr Klymenko ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in Memset (the "App").

Memset is a review-planning app. It helps users schedule when to revisit learning materials they already use elsewhere. It is not intended to replace the user's existing notebooks, flashcards, books, courses, or other study sources.

Information We Collect

We may collect and process the following categories of information:

• Account information, such as your Firebase user ID, sign-in method, email address, and profile information made available by the authentication provider you choose.
• Study-planning data you create in the App, including Memsets, Categories, Strategies, streak-related data, repetition history, titles, short summaries, and related preferences.
• App settings and preference data, such as locale, notification settings, onboarding flags, reminder configuration, and similar user-level configuration.
• Subscription and promotion data, such as subscription state, trial timing, purchase-related token references, and promo-code usage needed to manage paid access.
• Diagnostics and usage data, such as analytics events, crash reports, device/app version data, and limited technical information used to operate and improve the App.
• Support information, including encrypted support-log bundles that you choose to export, share, or send when contacting support.

Memset also supports anonymous sign-in. If you use the App without creating a full account first, we may still associate your data with an anonymous Firebase account until you sign in with another method or delete that account.

How We Collect Information

We collect information when you:

• sign in with email/password, Google, Apple, or anonymous auth,
• create, edit, repeat, or delete Memsets, Categories, and Strategies,
• enable notifications and reminder-related features,
• start or manage a subscription, trial, or promo-code flow,
• use the App and generate analytics or crash-reporting events,
• contact support or export logs.

The App does not collect precise device location.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• create and maintain your account,
• save and sync your Memset planning data,
• schedule reminders and notifications,
• deliver subscription, trial, and promo-code features,
• improve reliability, diagnose crashes, and understand feature usage,
• respond to support requests and investigate reported problems,
• comply with legal obligations and protect the App, users, and our rights.

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-Party Services

Memset relies on third-party services that process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Depending on the platform and the features you use, these may include:

• Firebase Auth
• Cloud Firestore
• Firebase Analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics
• Google Play Services
• Google Sign-In
• Sign in with Apple
• Apple App Store / Google Play billing and subscription infrastructure

These providers may process information needed to authenticate you, store your App data, deliver subscriptions, or provide analytics, diagnostics, and platform services.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, Memset stores notification preferences and scheduling-related data so the App can deliver reminders and related messages. Notification delivery may also depend on Apple, Google, and device-level notification services.

Support Logs

If you choose to export or share support logs, the App prepares an encrypted support bundle before sharing it. These bundles may include technical diagnostics, app version information, device details, and redacted log content needed to troubleshoot issues.

Data Retention

We retain data for as long as needed to operate the App, support your account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Some data may also remain in backups, logs, or service-provider systems for a limited period according to operational or legal requirements.

Account Deletion and Your Choices

You can stop future collection by uninstalling the App.

You can also request account deletion from within the App. Based on the current App behavior, deleting your account removes your Firebase Auth account and the top-level Firestore user record associated with your account. However, this process does not currently guarantee recursive removal of every Firestore subcollection or related record.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information handled by the App. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Memset is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can review and address the situation.

International Use

The App may be used from different countries, and information may be processed through service providers that operate internationally.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will publish the updated version at the same location and update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
